| Due to recent events, the nhb show will be off the air indefinitely. The
loss of a cohost and the constant work to keep the show fresh and funny,
while trying to manage the station, plus play in an increasingly active band
and do a day job, are draining and I need some time away from the station.
When my return will be is not certain. This announcement was made on the
October 10, 2006 NHB show. If I come back, you all will be the first to
know. Thanks for all your support over the years, but it is time to step
away for now and rethink the next direction of this show.

Best of luck in all your future endeavours. I will miss you Damon. Do
what's right for you man, and I will always be there, supporting you
every step of the way...
I don't think I can sum up how I feel right now, but I know somebody who can get it pretty damn close:

| Take as much time as you need Damon. Sometimes real life can get in the way of hobbies and in these cases a break is the best way to go. We'll all be waiting for you when you return, whenever that may be. |

A sad day, but a right choise in my oppinion, however, what will happen to the NHB timeslot damon? will you have time to edit some "best off" stuff together ? like older bits or stuff from the WMCX days ? at least that would keep the spirit alive.
Thanks for all the time you gave so far, I hope you will return sometime in the not too distant future.

| your right this is a sad day for us all. but nothin can change what is going to happen. i just wish damon and paul all the best of luck in everything. we will all be here waitin for when you get back guys so dont worry about that. yes even the gimp will be here sorry damon hahahhahahahahaha. speak to u later dude |

| I may get some flack for saying this, but I think a true paradigm shift has been long overdue for you. I said this on the staff list, but it holds true for life in general: you always have time, money, and energy for your first priority. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that there are some things you've always wished that you did, maybe a regret or two. There's no use regretting the past, but remember that you have the opportunity now to rearrange your priorities and pursue the things you've been putting aside for far too long, whatever those things may be. You've always exploited yourself on your show as being somewhat broken. I would be curious to see Damon whole; I know it's changed me in more ways than I could put in a forum post. Best of luck, and hopefully you can look back on yourself and say that it made a difference. |

I know alot of the people who are having problems with this situation are new listeners, so I must drag this out from the past. NHB used to take a break during the summer, however this year Damon didnt get that break. NHB will be back, just like it always is. When it comes back, the show will be fresh and have that new car smell. So for all you guys who got a little over excited when Damon made the announcment, calm down and take a little break yourselves. Enjoy the other shows on the network, listen even if you dont like the shows, because it will make the return of NHB that much more enjoyable.

worry. I have a lot of projects in the works and there will be new stuff you
guys never heard before that will be aired, assuming time
allows.

I just got here to see if there was anything on Paul leaving and to send my support.
This comes as a total shock to me.
