| OK, everybody. IN going through old shows for archiving purposes, I have
tried to bring back some old things we used to do, i.e. more sound effects,
news stories, etc. The question to all of you is, what do you think of these
changes? Do you like the sound effects and news stories? If not, what do you
like about NHB?this is not a host voting session, because all three hosts
are what make the show what it is. I am asking you what you like about NHB
and what you want us to do more of if you don't like what we do now. What
would make you use our phone or skype more? Let us know what you think.

Hey Damon, I've been listening on and off for along time. I remember hearing you say the listener count was 14, so that should give you an idea as to when that was. OK, now that that's said, the sound effects are good, especially if you're using them just at the right time.
News is alright, much better than dead air. Obviously, you don't want to focus your show just on the news, but hey - just remember - the more fucked up the news story is, the better.
As for the messengers, I'd keep msn and yahoo, drop AOL and all of the illiterate pricks that spawns. If the mongoloids can't figure out how to contact the show from one of the other messengers, skype, the 800 number, IRC, or any other god damn way, then piss on em. I bet your stress level would drop a notch as well.
More phone and Skype would be great. Maybe dropping one of the messengers would get things going. |

I haven't been listening as long as Cain, but I agree. the sound effects are nice, and personally I like the news, but I'd cut it back a little unless more listeners are calling in and responding to it. Otherwise, I love the show; keep up the good work.
ps. the show got better after 10:15 just kidding!! |

Well,
yeah, the show is going to get better after 10:15, because I am not
single-handedly trying to do the work of two people. Paul takes a lot off my
back by handling the messengers, not to mention adding his personality into the
mix. It definitely flows much better. Rich, unfortunately, can't read the
messages, so he is there to just throw out his little one liners and add to the
show that way. Plus, eventually, I am going to use him on a
parody.

I tried dropping the messengers in the second hour and the
listener contribution went totally dead. I guess people don't like the voice
chat options.

I will dissagree with dropping AOL! We get some great shit from AOL. Besides you drop AOL the dedicated freaks will download another messanger to spit their stupidity!

Damon,
I think the new format is working VERY well.
That's about all there is to say my friend, keep up the good work and the show continues to get better and better...
I wasn't around back then, "in the day" and so every change is a new one, for me and many other listeners...
