Yes man, tell him its evil. I stopped playing even with a 90 day card after 15 days. It was a self intervention. It really does suck up your life. You start too low and it takes a year to get uber. Tell him to try Guild Wars, it's a lot easier on the levels and it's free to play online.

Self intervention, I like that. That's how I wound up stopping myself, but I played for about a year before I quit. It's a great game, a wonderful game. Just... too wonderful I looked back on the year and realized that WoW was the only thing that happened to me the entire year, so I backed off. But, to each his own. Know your own limits, you know?

I'm an obsessive player, wanted all the pets, all the weapons. I even paid one of those currency sites. Thank Christ I quit while I did cause you cant pay rent in WOW gold. ;)

Yeah, when I had pretty much maxxed out my priest's gear, then I started working on my hunter and was halfway through my tier 1 on a second character, I realized I would never be satisfied.
