I found a hip hop website called www.hhradio.lv it is a internet radio stream of shit from Latvia. There were talking about hhr so I decided to flam there forum. So far one has threaten to kill me, and other are yelling at me in some other language.
Go over to there site sign up for an account and join in the fun. Make sure to tell them Producer Bill sent you.

As for how do I register your going to have to guess a little bit. It is a normal PHP Forum so if you have done one you can do them all.

I was agreeing on what Bill said in their forums. Because most of the shit they try to pass as Hip-Hop blows cock. You think most of the shit they play on the air now a days is art? No because is corparated spewed out dog shit.

this one would probably be better in the music forum but oh well.
firstly turn tables like any other instrument can be metal, just because i don't know of a metal band that had a turntable player is no reason to count it out. i've heard all kinds of instruments in various metal songs(especially goth metal). just because it's not the instrument you pick if you want to be a big rockstar is no reason to discard it. secondly hip-hop is without a doubt an art form. just because the people that mainstream radio likes are still playing with fingerpaints is no reason to say artists like tupac,common and about 90% of the underground rap out there are not art.
also you can break hip-hop down, not counting urban art(graffiti)breakdancing and several other branches of hip-hop not directly related with the music industry, you get singing and rapping. i shouldn't even have to cover the singing end of it, if singing can't be art than us musicians need to stop wasting our time. now the rapping the part most looked down on, is basically poetry to a beat, poetry can be art as proven throughout history(for example shakespear), also the beat is without a doubt art due to the fact that most rap tracks are produced by at bear minimum a keyboard player(some have gone so far as to use orchestras). oh and as for shit they play over the air, every fm,am channel is worthless nowadays, with the exception of local radio stations and public radio clear channel is pretty much taking over, i listen to alot of internet radio for a reason. but don't make the mistake of thinking just because someone has a major record deal they suck, they just happened to know how to get the right peoples attention. |

Cool down guys, Rap/Hip Hop can be art, but I just hate the bull shit that comes with it. Where they have to have bling because they have no talent and need something for the sheple of the world. It's shit.

Internet was down, so it took me awhile to reply. Ok, for the whole "turntables in metal". Usually when turntables or other electronics are added, the bands genre would usually change.

Actually we should move that whole thing to the music forums.
As for Hip-Hop. I didn't really look at the genre as a whole. Because Graffiti Artists work magic on those walls
And yeah FM/Commercial Radio is really sucking. A public radio station here has a decent metal night. |
