I just want to say this, I have been back and forth from the Defcon forums to these forums and then I heard the GDS Podcasst...and the blind jokes are getting old. Although before I go into a tangent, I want to give props to Mark the DJ for an original cap on Damon (Damon Fablindo)...that made me laugh.
Now, back to my rant, why is it that people resort to blind jokes on Damon? I mean if you have a good one like Mark, then put them out there but going, "oh hey here Damon look at this...oh ha! you can't cuz yer blind hee hee hee ha ha ha!" Now that is fucking lame. Or calling him Bling Boy, no shit! He knows he is blind. It's no different than calling Jammin Jerry a fat ass...he already knows!!! Same with me, I am part Jap, I already know I have a small dick..so fucking what?!
The NHB Army needs to step it up a knotch and just straight up come up with some original shit. These guys that are talking shit on Damon are using the Gimp's old "Damon Hate" material (refer to automation bit where Damon tells the Gimp to piss off and Gimp stands up to him).

Mark the DJ's Damon Fiblindo crack was not as funny as you give him credit
for, but I will give him points for originality. But the rest of those fags?
I have no respect. The best they could do is blind jokes and when you back
them into a corner, they threaten you with your personal information.

listeners for all I care, we all know that majority doesn't rule, majority
is just retarded and if survivor, britany spears and american idol haven't

It's no more original than calling people gay, or faggot, or just using high school insults.
I don't think any ownage happened on either side, because let's be honest here: your insults at them are no better than blind jokes at you. Both are pretty lowbrow and both are pretty lame.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion. I think I did better than they did,
but they will think the same. But, ultimately, to threaten somebody with
their personal info when the shit gets too thick? That's a pussy maneuver
and who can argue with that.

| There's a distinct difference there. The listeners of Defcon, having to live their entire lives as idiots, have heard every insult in the book, so having Damon take stabs at them is pretty well on the level, since he's the most creative with his insults. But then to turn it around and the people stab back with the most rudimentary blind jokes is just insulting. I mean, they could at least come up with a creative blind joke, something that Damon hasn't heard in his 30 plus years of dealing with idiots. He at least has the courtesy to lash out with insults and jokes that take a little effort. |

Posting the jpegs was a way of trying to prove that Nomad was Damon. A blind person wouldn't be able to read them, now would he? AND, notice that 'Nomad' didn't reply to any jpeg-only posts.

Christ on a cross. Telling jokes are only as repeated as the people hearing them find them funny. How many nigger jokes have you heard over and over again and still got a chuckle when a new little twist is thrown in. Not that I'm a racist or prejudice against blind people, but sometimes, a good joke is just a good joke no matter how many times it's said.
I'll just say that even though the DefCon fans can be extremly ferocious at times, most are really good people that I know personally. They are doing the exact same thing Mental John did - trying to rally the troops.
I'm a sensible guy, I enjoy a good roast. I love dark comedy, insults and offensive material. The problem is that there will always be people who take it too serious and take it personally. Point blank, when people use those types of jokes, they are usually targeting the most obvious because it's a shortcut and it usually cuts to the core if the recieving party has a complex about it. Same as everyone here calling Gimp a retard. Why, because whether he is in reality or not, everyone knows it cuts to his core.
All in all, NHB and DefCon are different, fine. But I love the results of a good fight. Dumb, stupid, ghey whatever. Everyone likes a good drama. |

Mark. This may be true, but the jokes on the other forum are not, and most

No, have to disagree. Mental John is trying to get an ad campaign/marketing
campaign going to promote NHb. The defcon fans are tearing down another
human being, ineffectively as it may be. We're being positive, they are
being negative. They may be nice people off the forums, but so am I. What

All in all, NHB and DefCon are different, fine. But I love the results of a

Well, when will the defcon listeners make it good? I mean, come on. Stick to
the real issues and stop going for the lowest common denominator blind
jokes. It really is not making a good showing for the other side. You don't
see me calling you a hick, do you?

HAHA, a hick? You've never met my extended family. Even if you did, I'd be OK with it. I'm kinda boring though. Not much gets me revved up. I can make a stink if I think it has a benefit, but most of the time I just move on.
And what i meant about Mental John was that - he came over to the DefCon ventrilo server and was ready to dig in. After about 5 minutes of rational conversation, his tone had completely changed. But when he first got there, he wasn't promoting an ad campaign, he wanted kick some e-Ass. But ultimately, he chilled with my soothing lullabyes.  |

As for me, blind jokes generally don't get me revved up, but when people are
being malicious and attacking me for my blindness, that can touch a nerve,
depending on the day. But, I have learend to take that from where it comes,
generally. It is really a low form of attack, in my opinion, especially when
you deal with the ignorance of sighted people on a daily basis.\

In general I think that blind jokes, if meant as a joke are just the same as calling somebody a douche bag cock sucker, neither take much intelligence. I make blind jokes all the time both practical and otherwise, my best friend is blind, but she knows that they are just a joke and gets me back just as hard.
The difference is that when they are directed at Damon 9 times out of 10 they are not blind jokes they are blind insults. Its just as bad as insulting somebody over anything else they cant change its just that in general people see the 'poor blind person that cant defend themselves' which is bullshit.
People get ripped for whatever is there, so long as they can give as good as they get then it’s all fair game in my book.
