So I realize a lot of people on the NHB network like energy drinks and have insomnia which is why some of you listen to vamps spinning (God help you). Well, im new to energy drinks so iv been testing out a few such as Rockstar but it's a tad tangy for my taste. So my question is what is your favorite energy drink and why?

I like Full Throttle, especially the Blue Demon flavor.

I like Full Throttle, the black can with the pink/red stuff on it because it tastes good...but if your not used to energy drinks, your gonna have to drink a few and get your taste buds to like it

The best energy drinks are the ones that don't rely on high fructose corn syrup as their main carbohydrate source. Sadly guys, that includes Full Throttle and Red Bull. High Fructose Corn Syrup is almost immediately converted to fat if you aren't active and burn the sugars as energy. Avoid them like the plague if you're just drinking something as a pick me up during the day. If that's the whole reason you're drinking these things, drink coffee. It'll have the same effect, it's cheaper, and isn't nearly as bad for you. My personal favorite energy drink is Monster, which uses maltodextrin as its main carb source. The Lo-Carb versions of Full Throttle also use maltodextrin, as well as the sugar-free version of RockStar. There are some others out there, but I am not 100% sure what labels use what. If you can't stand the taste of the 'Green M' (the original flavor), then I'd recommend trying either Monster Assault (camo can - kind of a cherry flavor), or Monster Khaos (orange flavor). In some markets, there are also 3 versions of Monster called Java Monster, which is like those crap-ass Starbucks frappacino things, but much better.

I like the original monster, when i'm at work. During the show i drink those little 5 hour energy bottles. They are prettttty good.

That doesn't make you want to fly all over the studio? I've decided to cut back on tea because I couldn't sit still any more, still can't, and that's just high sugar. I couldn't imagine energy drinks while sitting still.

I don't drink high energy drinks anymore. Ever since the time I felt like I was going to die from a heart attack.
