| Attention listeners:
You may or may not know this, but labor day weekend, for the past several
years has been the time to do the NHB radio annual telethon to raise money
to keep the station going. This year, being the fourth annual, we want to
make even better than ever. So, I am interested in what you, our listeners,
have to say about past telethons and what you liked, or didn't like. Also,
what ideas do you have for prizes that would be easy to give to donators,
especially with having the store where we can host downloadable stuff. Also,
we are going to need you to once again tell us what nhb radio means to you,
or your favorite nhb moment and this year, we will have a totally foolproof
way of doing it using our new phone system linked to our number. More info
will be coming soon about that. So, give us your thoughts or prize ideas and
we'll consider them and see what we can implement.

As a relatively new listener, I am unable to call on my non-existent telethon experience, but I am wholly behind the upcoming fun...
As far as what NHB means to me, I can barely begin to describe how much I FUCKING LOVE NHB! I have done and will continue to support NHB the best I can, and contribute all I can. The people of NHB, the hard work that goes into making NHB is truly and honestly highly valued by this listener, and I cannot wait for many years of NHB to come.
For my favourite bit of this year, I would find it hugely difficult to think of one specific part. I would have to say the discovery of bits in Automation that are from shows before I began listening are great, and I LOVE every automation bit and as far as I'm concerned, none of it is old yet. Would you believe however I've yet to hear Shit In A Microwave! Honestly! Ha ha...
It may be biased, but one bit that sticks in my mind was the fun that ensued after my Angie creation. Another thing I loved was the beginning of Take It Or Leave It, which I have listened to from the beginning, coined phrases such as BURRITO! and DO IT! and NICE! Which I use in day to day speak now, are wonderful.
All of NHB rocks, and will continue to have my undying unfaltering support as long as I possibly am able...
Prizes = I reckon t-shirts (obviously) and maybe something classic from the NHB studio, a CD actually used by Damon and Paul to produce a show, maybe a memory stick that was used to do NHB shows, a piece of junk from the NHB Studio in Damon's house. Some fun stuff like that I would LOVE TO WIN!! Maybe some old cable that was used or a jack to jack etc...
BRING ON MORE NHB! BRING ON THE TELETHON!

sorry, no underwear of mine will be auctioned off. As for guest hosting, we
tried that and nobody ever actually wanted to do it. Maybe we'll bring it back
this year, who knows?

have you all thought about a 900# for special events call ins, head of line chat epecially when you have special uests, or put special info about the how or ideas for show materials.
also have you thought of placing utographed items on e-bay and menion the show there so more people can hear about the show. i just lucked into finding you all by downloading a few feeds thru shout cast. listened to a few shows and laughed my ss off. imo listenr count would jump if more people herd about you.
just my 2 cents, do i have any change? |

| We have considered that; in fact, it was one of the major reasons behind the new phone system we picked up. There are endless configuration options, so we can do virtually anything we want to, including not only blocking, but also allowing special listeners and staff direct access to the show via a second line, if we so please. It's quite impressive, I'm looking forward to what we'll be doing with it. |

how about a poster with either all the active shows or individual shows and signed by the respective hosts.
cd's of you parodies or a collection of the best comedy bits autographed should go good. put website info on the back cover etc
i think you all mentioned guest hosting, i would think that might go descent on e-bay, be like have you and your friends host 1/2 or 1 hour show via phone and then they get a cd of it when it is done, maybe a monthly spot of that would be both interesting, and spread the word
another possibility is action figures of the staff. on special nhb cards. like star wars figures, i make custom cards and have a bunch on my site, should not be hard to make a card for the site, and get some one to modify a couple of figures to look like show hosts. |

| maybe one of the more talented listeners could do a comic of the show, include scenes like the shit in the microwave or on the superhero chat last night. make damon into a crime fighter, or show his misadventures trying to get laid |
